The only thing better than sweet treats is free sweet treats. Whether it's doughnuts that get you salivating or retro cakes that make your eyes turn into cartoonish love hearts, the Perth CBD is about to be brimming with incredible ways to get your sugar fix.

140 Perth are bringing the big guns from across Perth's dessert scene to the CBD to dish out top-tier sweet treats to the masses. A range of specialty sweets will be available to buy throughout the takeover program, and if you get in early, you can score them for free. Yes, really. Read on to find out who'll be popping up at the precinct and what kind of freebies you can score.

Owner Ashleigh Vaughn will bring her beloved retro heart cakes and cake boxes to 140 Perth for two days this October. With the signature cheeky messages on top, Perth Cake Collective's striking cakes will sweep you off your feet in no time. During the pop-up, 40 of the incredible mini-retro heart cakes that can feed up to 15 of your best mates will be given away to the first 20 people in line (that's 20 per day).

The name does a lot of the heavy lifting for this vegan doughnut shop. The Bayswater-based store will set up shop this November to bring its cruelty-free goodies to the city centre. The plant-based circular sweets will be available in a bunch of delectable flavours available for purchase. Plus, the first 100 people in line across the two days will score a doughnut on the house. Yum.

After starting out doing pop-up shops and market stalls, Cinnayum established its official brick-and-mortar cinnamon bun store in Joondalup. Here, you can cop everything from classic sticky cinnamon scrolls to blueberry, raspberry and white chocolate flavours, as well as next-level peanut butter cups. Be one of the first 100 people in line and you'll bag a free bun.

Perth-born pastry chef and owner of Crumbs Patisserie, Julia Buri, spent time training at Heston Blumenthal's acclaimed London restaurant, The Fat Duck, before she started her Perth patisserie. Back on home soil, she's now focused on creating edible art. Head to 140 Perth to try the limited-time 'Citrus Got Real' dessert, a "sphere of lemon parfait, filled with a raspberry and lemon curd centre, sprayed in Crumbs' yellow couverture white chocolate upon a bed of frozen lemon and thyme yoghurt snow—unreal! You can also get your hands on one of her unreal honey cake croissants. And, if you're one of the first 100 to rock up, you'll get your croissy for free.

Keen to check it out? Entry to 140 Perth is via Railway Lane located on the Corner of William Street and Murray Street Mall in the Perth CBD. For more information on the event, head over here.
